On a mission to see the world with his camera in hand, Steven Dombrowski is a traveler with a passion for capturing his adventures.
Over the years, he has collected over 4,000 photos in film. But he’s not stopping there! Now guided by a focus of cancer awareness, Dombrowski is setting his sights on charitable cycling competitions and marathons, both near and far.
Cycling for a Cause (and a Cure)
Steven Dombrowski has always been an avid cyclist. He has embarked on some pretty incredible journeys, including a 40 day trip from Portland, OR to San Francisco, CA. But it wasn’t until Dombrowski suffered the devastating loss of two loved ones that he energized his passion with a greater purpose: cancer awareness.
Now, Steven Dombrowski is aiming to make a major difference both as a cancer awareness advocate and a cyclist. He plans to accomplish his goal of raising awareness by participating in various charitable cycling competitions and marathons. In particular, he is interested in supporting organizations that directly fund research on rare forms of cancer, such as Cycle for Survival. Currently, Cycle for Survival directly supports research efforts led by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dombrowski looks forward to discovering more cycling competitions and athletic events that support rare cancer research.
Patients diagnosed with rare forms of cancer often have few treatment options. This is due to the fact that research surrounding rare cancer is typically severely underfunded. Through his cancer awareness efforts, support and contributions, Steven Dombrowski hopes to provide patients with more treatment options and alternatives. He also hopes to support efforts that provide the families of diagnosed individuals with resources and advice on how they can better support their loved one through their life-changing illness.
